Terms of Use
Last updated: 6 May 2026
These Terms of Use cover how you can use Discover-Deals.com. We’ve tried to keep the legal language simple. If anything below is unclear, send us a note through the contact page and we’ll do our best to explain.
1. Accepting these terms
By visiting discover-deals.com, reading our articles, clicking on a deal, signing up for our newsletter, or contacting us through the site, you agree to the terms below. If you don’t agree with something here, please stop using the site. We won’t take it personally — we just can’t make exceptions for individual visitors.
2. Who we are
Discover-Deals is an independent personal-finance and shopping blog. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the site and its operators. We’re not affiliated with any retailer, bank, app, or service we cover unless an article explicitly says so.
3. What you can do with our content
We want our guides to actually be useful, so the rules are friendly:
- Read, share, and link to our articles freely.
- Quote a short passage (a sentence or two) on social media or another website, with a link back to the original article — that’s how the internet is supposed to work.
- Email an article to a friend or family member who’d find it helpful.
What we ask you not to do:
- Don’t republish whole articles on another website without permission. A short quote with a link back is fine; copying the full piece is not.
- Don’t pass our articles off as your own writing.
- Don’t run our text through automatic rewriting tools and post the result somewhere else.
- Don’t scrape the site to populate a price comparison or deal aggregator without contacting us first.
If you’d like to use our material in a way that isn’t covered above, ask. We’re usually happy to say yes when the use is genuine and credit is given.
4. User behaviour
If you comment, leave a review, or message us through the contact form, please keep it respectful. We’ll remove or block content that is spammy, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or designed to scam other readers. We may also block users who repeatedly break the rules. None of this is meant to police polite disagreement — corrections, clarifications, and “actually, this app changed its terms last month…” comments are welcome and useful.
5. Accuracy
We do our best to keep articles accurate and up to date, but personal finance moves fast. Pricing, cashback rates, sign-up bonuses, app features, and promotional offers all change without notice. By the time you read an article, a specific number we quoted may already be out of date. Always check the current terms on the merchant or service provider’s own website before you act on anything you read here.
We are not financial advisors, tax professionals, or licensed credit counsellors. Articles on Discover-Deals are educational and informational only. They are not personal financial advice. If you’re making a decision that depends on getting it exactly right (large purchases, debt consolidation, tax planning, investments), please talk to a qualified professional who knows your specific situation.
6. External links
Most articles include links to retailers, apps, and other websites. Some are affiliate links (see section 7); others are just normal references. We don’t run those external sites and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, security, pricing, return policies, or any changes they make later. Once you click an outbound link, you’re leaving Discover-Deals and dealing with that company on their terms.
7. Affiliate links and advertising
The site earns money two ways: affiliate commissions and display advertising.
Many of the products, apps, and retailers we recommend are linked through affiliate programs. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase or sign up for a service, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend things we’ve used, tested, or independently verified. Editorial decisions are not influenced by affiliate revenue — we’ll happily recommend a non-affiliate product over an affiliate one if it’s actually better.
The site is also supported by display advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertisers don’t choose our editorial topics or wording. See the Privacy Policy for how ads and tracking work, and the Disclaimer for our full affiliate disclosure.
8. Intellectual property
All original articles, illustrations, and the Discover-Deals name and logo are the property of the site and protected by copyright and trademark law. Section 3 covers what’s allowed.
9. Privacy
How we handle the information you give us — comments, contact-form messages, newsletter sign-ups — is described in detail in our Privacy Policy. Using the site means you accept that policy too.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t make legal warranties about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any specific purpose. To the extent allowed by law, Discover-Deals is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses you might experience from using (or being unable to use) the site, including but not limited to lost income, missed deals, expired coupons, or money decisions you made based on something you read here.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally — usually because we’ve added a new feature or a law has changed. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change is significant, we’ll mention it on the homepage or in the footer for a couple of weeks.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms? Send a message through our contact page. We read everything.
